01
Use the pipeline as the event record
Create one event record per commercial engagement and move it through enquiry, proposal, approval, delivery, and wrap-up rather than creating replacement cards.

02
Qualify and brief
Record client, event type, dates, venue, attendance, objectives, decision maker, budget, constraints, and next action.
03
Prepare proposal, quote, and approval
Use a reusable template, document assumptions and exclusions, validate margin and tax, obtain approval, then record the signed contract on the existing event.
04
Plan delivery
Build the run sheet, milestones, owners, vendors, attendee requirements, resources, risks, and contingency decisions.
05
Operate the live event
Use the current event record for readiness, attendance, vendor, and incident facts. Time-stamp material changes and assign each issue.
06
Wrap up and analyze
Confirm supplier costs, client billing, attendance, incidents, feedback, lessons, and reusable updates before moving the event to complete.
Troubleshooting
- An event appears twice: compare client, date, and signed contract; merge work into the authoritative record.
- A phase cannot advance: resolve the readiness alert or required approval first.
- Pipeline value looks wrong: verify quote currency, probability, stage, and approved scope.
